lives: Depending on plugins? Suggesting with archs?

Nope, it won't, though both the build the runtime dependencies are
highly recommended by upstream.

Well, no clear answer here, we should investigate with git blame. I
guess that it would cause no big issues to either adjust it or keep it
as it is now though.
