Hi Andreas,

There are two extra elements to this transition proposal that you have 
missed: 

* what package will include /usr/bin/av* so that user's existing scripts are 
not needlessly broken?

* what about packages that recommend or suggest libav-tools? They have not 
been included in your previous analysis but need to be to ensure that they 
are not broken by the proposed changes.
