The issues are:

../../libheif/heif.cc: In function 'heif_error heif_encoder_set_parameter_integer(heif_encoder*, const char*, int)':
../../libheif/heif.cc:1607:18: error: 'valid_values' may be used uninitialized in this function [-Werror=maybe-uninitialized]
 1607 |       const int* valid_values;
      |                  ^~~~~~~~~~~~
cc1plus: all warnings being treated as errors

And something (but I don't know what) injects ">/dev/null 2>&1" to hide
all the output of GCC.
