Do you think it should safe to do the same change here

This is one of the things I was thinking it would be good to review
across all xxx-server-Z.Y.(post|pre)* files. I think some of our end
user bug reports is likely to step from how there scripts operate.
Although the most annoying thing is the usage of the .flag files and
how encountering such a file exits and kills dpkg.
