I'm not sure. We've been carrying this change in Ubuntu for a while now,
so I don't think it's likely that I'll break anything in Ubuntu at
least. But we've used our upstart job for a long time too, so I know
that behaviour on Debian may be different with SysV. So this is why I
have not pushed this change to Debian.

I agree that it is wrong though, and we should figure out the proper way
to fix it, fix it in Debian properly, and drop the Ubuntu delta. This is
legacy tech-debt that I want to see gone, but right now I'm focused on
trying to not break anything with the 5.6 migration so I'd like to avoid
changing any more right now, to try and keep that smooth.
