We should also file against packages that depend on mysql-server,
mysql-server-core, mysql-client etc.. How do you recommend to create
such an list, using apt-cache rdepends on a recently updated sid box?
Or should i log into some ftp machine and ask a list dak etc? Is it OK
to file the bugs against the binary packages directly, and not the
source package? I should also remember to clean away from the list
potential alternative "x | mysql-server" type dependencies where
moving to virtual-mysql-* is strictly not required?

In the template I'll include
user pkg-mysql-maint at lists.alioth.debian.org
usertag NNN default-mysql
as you did above. One single tag to track all of these should be enough.
