Those could have a lower priority, I suppose.

Also, what are you proposing packages do? Move from e.g. mysql-client to
"default-mysql-client | virtual-mysql-client" ? What about packages that depend
on libmysqlclient-dev ?

Yes.

I usertagged the bugs "default-mysql default-libmysqlclient". So please use
default-mysql to have a common view, and feel free to add a new tag for those as
well.
