Hello!

I plan to upload MariaDB 10.1 to unstable soon. Hoping it will be in
time for getting into Stretch. I originally planned to package and
upload 10.2, but it is delayed, so I'll go with 10.1 then.

The upstream contents and our Debian packaging of 10.1 is quite close
to 10.0, so major problems are unlikely.

All packages depend on unversioned package names (mariadb-server,
mariadb-client), including the dependencies in mysql-default, so they
will automatically switch to using the newer mariadb-server/-client
packages when available.

The packaging repo is a copy of the old mariadb-10.0 repo, so the git
history remains:
https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-mysql/mariadb-10.1.git/

Once mariadb-10.1 is in stretch/testing, I'll reassing all
mariadb-10.0 bugs to it and file a removal request for mariadb-10.0.
There are only 13 bugs, and over half of them are wishlist, so that
will not be a big thing.

Once everything is in order in stretch/testing, I'll deal with the
updates in downstream Ubuntu 17.04.

Please speak up if any issues come into your mind that I might have overlooked.

- Otto
