This bit is correct. Packages should continue to depend on
virtual-mysql-* as an alternative so that users can drop in MySQL
instead (where it is possible).

I think "will be included in future stable releases" is misleading.

Whether MySQL is in any future stable release is entirely down to the
security and release teams, as the maintainers continue to want it
(including in stretch). There is no issue in Debian maintainence of
MySQL, nor in the packaging. The issue the security and release teams
have is with upstream.

I'd like to see MySQL return to a stable release in the future. But
there is no indication from the release or security teams that they'd
agree to this, and the current status is exactly the opposite. So I
believe that it is unlikely. We do intend to continue maintaining MySQL
in sid.
