Please consider going back to readline again.

The current client (10.5) does not care about ~/.editrc and there
is no information about how to bind ctrl-w correctly.
(Actually, it is hard to find anything useful about Editline, especially
key bindings.)

Also, there seems to be a unicode problem, it is no longer possible
to enter utf-8 characters when using the mysql client.  (/usr/bin/mysql)
My environment has LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8.
