That’s true in principle but probably unsustainable in reality.
For perl-maintainers@, we have had it moderated for years and just ensured that we regularly check and approve (and add to the allowlist) anyone legitimate posting). We haven’t had any push back on this.
I don’t know that there is really any good option here, unfortunately.
Let me know if you need any more input from the alioth-list admins.
