Package: nagios-common
Version: 2:1.3-cvs.20050116-1
Severity: normal

From: Ryszard Lach <rla@debian.org>
Subject: nagios-common: check_nagios_db fails to recognize that nagios isn't running (after nagios crash)
Package: nagios-common
Version: 2:1.3-cvs.20050116-1
Severity: normal

If nagios (running with database) fails because of some bad reason (e.g. hardware problem,
segfault etc.) check_nagios_db doesn't claims that it's running. This is
what happens if I 'kill -9' nagios' pid:

myhost:/etc/nagios# ./check_nagios_db
Nagios OK: located 0 processes, program status updated 14 seconds ago
myhost:/etc/nagios# echo $?
0

This makes check_nagios_db unusable for nagios-DB monitoring and forces
the user to clear 'programstatus' table in database before nagios start.

these three bugs are fixed, but since we skipped a version with our
uploads, the changelogs never closed the bugs.
