hrm. i just did a commit that copies in the ./contrib/eventhandlers
as is done in 1.x and sets the directory to /usr/lib/nagios2/plugins.
as for using /usr/local, i guess it depends on whether the existing
plugins are usable out of the box. i don't make extensive use of them
currently, so i'd have to defer to someone else.
since i really want to get this version out the door, i'm going to go
ahead and upload it as is. but we can continue this discussion if
anyone feels it's appropriate.
