this isn't really a problem with nagios.  what's happening is nagios
depends on a newer version of foo, which depends on bar, etc,
bringining in a huge list of newer versions of packages.  some of
these newer packages conflict with some of the older packages you
have isntalled, and so they're getting removed.  apt isn't intelligent
enough to figure out what you "really want it to do".

if you really want to get nagios2 from testing (as opposed to the
backports.org release), then you should read up on how to "pin"
your system to stable before installing things from testing.  but
that's even further out of the scope of this list.
