[Pkg-nagios-devel] Quo vadis nagios2

Hi,

I would like to admit that I have kind of neglected nagios2 packaging
in the last months. This includes not having replied to formorer's
intent to package nagios 3, thus having missed the opportunity for a
clear migration path from nagios 2 to nagios 3. Mea culpa.

It is unclear weather I will have time to participate much in nagios
Debian development in the near future, but it is clear that I will
move both my nagios installations to nagios3 in the next few weeks,
after which I won't have any nagios2 installation any more to use as
reference for dealing with stuff.

I am unsure whether we want to allow lenny to release with nagios 2,
and how we motivate people to migrate to nagios 3 in course of their
update from etch to lenny, and whether to spend any more effort in
fixing nagios2 bugs.

What do you guys think?

Greetings
Marc
