I think it's a good point, to have such a plugin. But I don't think that's
anything we will got integrated into the nagios plugins upstream[1], as the
just got rid of their contrib/.

If anybody is willing to maintain such a plugin, this should be integrated
into the nagios-plugins-contrib[2] package.
