I wish it had been based on my version which I highly suspect is a lot cleaner.

It actually uses the same architecture as the new driver package does
and is much more future proof that the package used to be.

I guess Randall is busy or he would have released it already.

I put my version there on July 21th and had a few people test it already.

Unfortunately I just help out, but don't have upload ability for Debian
or I would have done it myself already.
