Actually I just noticed that version you are using is not the one I made.
That one won't work with debian kernels above 2.6.29 as far as I can tell.
My version does work.

I was a bit annoyed that someone uploaded that mess a few days after I
had posted the patch to make the working one.  Oh well.  Hopefully soon I
can become a maintainer myself and actually be able to upload the fixed
versions rather than waiting for someone else to do it.
