I think I'm now current on nvidia-graphics-drivers except for the update
to the new upstream version.  Thank you so much for all your work on this!

I now need to tackle the module build driver package, and then get that
uploaded.  Does that rely on the new nvidia-graphics-drivers, or can it go
separately?

I've been thinking about it since I last was working on this, and I think
you're right about the template system to build debian/control for the
kernel module build package.  I'm going to take that patch after all; it
will save work in the long run.
