Yeah, this is definitely the plan.  As you've noticed, we also need to
handle libglx, and the other packages should cooperate and set up the
alternatives so that we don't have to do the current diversion trick, and
there may be some other unexpected problems to sort out, but that's where
we're trying to end up.
