Now I also updated the documentation. While reading xorg.conf(5) I found
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d
where config snippets could be dropped - eventually an option for
nvidia-glx? What would be the correct entry?
I also added a /usr/share/xserver-xorg/nvidia.ids file (hopefully the
format is correct, I didn't find any documentation), but Xorg no longer
seems to look there.
We need to get an updated libvdpau out, n-g-d 195.36.24-2 does not
migrate to testing because of the missing versioned conflicts/replaces
in libvdpau-dev.
Should we make the dependency of the transitional nvidia-libvdpau*
packages on their libvdpau* counterparts versioned to define a more
clean upgrade path?
Now I added also all the legacy substvars to debian/control, we can look
into this and the formatting issue again after all the legacy packages
are updated.
