Package: nvidia-vdpau-driver
Version: 190.53-1
Severity: normal
I just installed the package for the first time. After the install, I
had:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Mar 4 01:48 /usr/lib/libvdpau.so.1 -> libvdpau.so.1.0.0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 6676 Feb 25 18:51 /usr/lib/libvdpau.so.1.0.0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 25 Mar 28 03:12 /usr/lib/libvdpau_nvidia.so -> libvdpau_nvidia.so.190.53
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 24 Apr 18 2009 /usr/lib/libvdpau_trace.so -> libvdpau_trace.so.180.44
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1474604 Jan 20 17:52 /usr/lib/vdpau/libvdpau_nvidia.so.190.53
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 23 Mar 4 01:48 /usr/lib/vdpau/libvdpau_trace.so.1 -> libvdpau_trace.so.1.0.0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 51060 Feb 25 18:51 /usr/lib/vdpau/libvdpau_trace.so.1.0.0
I'm not a packaging expert, but it feels wrong that the link
/usr/lib/libvdpau_nvidia.so is in the package at all - shouldn't that be
managed by ldconfig?
I fixed the problem by creating /etc/ld.so.conf.d/vdpau.conf:
/usr/lib/vdpau
and running ldconfig.
