I saw that, and upgraded to the latest (285) drivers (in debian
experimental), which do implement the 1.11 ABI. So far, no problems, but I
haven't used it enough to be sure.

I tried nouveau and had an installation problem. If I encounter the crash
again I'll try with nouveau; otherwise it's probably a bug in the old nvidia
driver or ABI incompatibility. (Though unless nouveau consumption and hot
plugging work decently well now it's not a practical solution long-term.)

So mark the bug pending feedback or some such.
