Dear Release Team,

I'm asking for a freeze exception to upload
nvidia-graphics-drivers-legacy-96xx 96.43.23-2 to sid which
reinstantiates the package as a working X driver reverting the
transitional package and switching instructions.

On Sept 4th a new release of the 96xx series appeared on Nvidia's ftp
server (not mentioned elsewhere, so probably a beta) that adds support
for Xorg Xserver 1.12 (that was missing until now and therefore
nvidia-graphics-drivers-legacy-96xx was removed from testing in 2011 and
I turned it into empty transitional packages with instructions for
switching to radeon right before the wheezy freeze). I just uploaded
this new version to experimental and asked the bug reporters/commenters
of #643584 to test this with wheezy's Xorg.

Which debdiff(s) would you like to see?

* vs 96.43.20-8 (sid, unblocked, 7/10, translation update)
* vs 96.43.20-6 (wheezy, transitional variant)
* vs 96.43.20-4 (last non-transitional variant in sid)
* vs 96.43.20-2 (last non-transitional variant in wheezy)
* vs 96.43.18-2 (squeeze)

I'm currently unsure how to handle the *-ia32 packages, they were fully
reinstated in my experimental upload (and therefore I needed to build in
a wheezy chroot to use the old monolithic ia32-libs), but I'd prefer to
to turn them into empty transitional packages as I did with
nvidia-graphics-drivers (see #684871), which is still pending a decision
how to proceed with it.

Andreas
