Thanks for this hint but, I'm afraid we can't make sure that
there will be no update to 7.5 ...

FYI:
https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-downloads

Architectures supported are X86_64 and ppc64le.
runfile and debfile are provided for x86_64,
while debfile only is provided for ppc64el.

I've almost forgot the ppc64el stuff until you reminded me that.
the deb file for ppc64el is of size ~1GB.

Oh, seems that more work is in need.
