duh, no one's a mind reader ;), so i'll clarify: did up the packaging
for 2.3, though it's meant for local consumption only, as i build it
with openssl. been doing that since before 2.3 came out (i forget how
long now). my original reason has disappeared, now i do it to keep up
to date with upstream, learn about making .debs (up to par ones,
hopefully), and necessity (2.3 has some nice features that i want in
it).
