[Pkg-openldap-devel] Can a package modify slapd.conf in its maintainer script?

not many packages in Debian provide .schema file, but there is a
important difference: if package "can" be work with a LDAP back-end and
for this propose provide a .schema (in this case I agree you opinion) and
package that can NOT work without LDAP back-end

switch slapd to conf.d system as phpmyadmin create a non invasive apache
configuration
packages that use LDAP could do the same, I suppose many packages that
use Relational DB
create own empty database during installation, simply LDAP is not very
used by applications
