Upgrading to 2.4.12+ will require a slapcat/slapadd or at least a slapindex 
due to the addition of new matching rules.
Additionally, OpenLDAP 2.4.12+ no longer supports any BDB release less than 
4.4.
I'm not aware of any special build parameters required for BDB 4.6 to run 
safely with OpenLDAP.  Certainly nothing is listed in the OpenLDAP 2.4 
Admin guide appendix on recommended releases.
