Thanks. I'm hoping those two locations are enough to inform most people 
and point them to the README.

Just for the record, that looks like it directly modifies the .ldif 
files under the slapd.d directory. It probably works in most cases, but 
the recommended approach is to export the config with slapcat, edit the 
export, and re-import with slapadd. The steps are written in a bit more 
detail in our README. I also scripted a simple case of that for a 
previous slapd upgrade:
