Patch 0004 is the offending one. Its purpose is unclear to me. I assume 
the files it wants to include in the CMake scripts (whose absence CMake 
complains about) would need to be added by that same patch, or maybe a 
build dependency is missing, I don't know for sure. A quick online 
search didn't yield a definitive answer. I suppose the included modules 
also interpret these now-unused build flags (build log excerpt):

I further noticed patch 0001 has become outdated and therefore causes 
build issues. I attached a working version.

TL;DR: updating patch 0001 and skipping patch 0004 makes the CMake build 
work.

By the way, once you have a working setup, we can try to obsolete at 
least some of these patches by introducing build options (e.g., to 
disable the update check feature).
