Btw, it now provides the patch to fix the FTBFS reported in #675895 too. I've
also been doing some general clean-up, which simplifies the parrot packaging,
in the "topic/clean-up" branch (based on "topic/release-4.3.0"), on the same
repository [0]. It is kind of "experimental", but AFAICT the generated binary
packages are pretty much identical except for the descriptions (that I
updated) and the fact that the pod documents in parrot-doc are now compressed as
per Debian Policy.
(If you are wondering, yes, it builds both nqp and rakudo just fine :) ).
The changelog entry (comprehensive of topic/clean-up) looks like this:
parrot (4.3.0-1) UNRELEASED; urgency=low
.
* New upstream release
* Drop 01_fix_alignment_issues_on_ia64_sparc_and_mipsel.patch
(merged upstream)
* Provide debhelper plugin
* Remove Breaks on rakudo (no more needed)
* Build with security hardening flags
* Add 01_use_icu-config_ldflags-libsonly.patch to fix a FTBFS
(Closes: #675895)
* Bump debhelper compat level to 8
* Switch to debhelper short-form rules file
* Remove useless Conflicts and Replaces
* Update short and long descriptions
* Make mk_language_shell.pl executable (fixes script-not-executable) and
remove empty directory (fixes package-contains-empty-directory)
(Everything after the "Add 01_use_icu-config..." is from topic/clean-up).
Cheers
