Jupp, I'm aware that I stalled here, I imported the new versions but
need some extra care checking which patches can be dropped from the
patches Daniel contributed.

I slightly got demotivated and busy with other things inbetween, but
will try to respin the work and finish the update.

Please ping me again if I fail :-(
