Package: licensecheck
Version: 3.3.9-1
Severity: wishlist
licensecheck provides output like:
Files: ... files ...
Copyright: ... me ...
License: ... license ...
FIXME
It's quite awkward to fill in the FIXME's manually (and to make sure I get
the right spelling so lintian doesn't yell at me). The canonical source
appears to be /usr/share/perl5/Software/LicenseMoreUtils/debian-summaries.yml
in libsoftware-licensemoreutils-perl - can licensecheck paste the value in
from there?
I've skimmed #1001634, which suggests the "FIXME"s are supposed to encourage
users to check the license statement. But to be honest the more manual work
I'm expected to do, the more I tend to click through without thinking.
How about adding an option like `--add-license-text`, and changing `FIXME` to
e.g. `Rerun with `--add-license-text if the above license is correct`?
