It also would be a nice opportunity to hold in one single package the
overrides we want to share among PEAR domains, to mark directly this
package as a dependency of pkg-php-tools (so we don’t need to add it as
a build-dependency everywhere). It would save us and ftpmaster the
hassle to deal with a lot of trivial packages, would avoid us to wait
months to continue working on our pkg-php-tools release goal, and we’ll
spare us to deal with the “special” wordings of Ganneff.

So yes, I’m all for it, but I unfortunately can’t help to initiate the
work on this package. I’ll do my best to at least deal with the recent
channels package I recently (tried to) upload once the structure is in
place, given the time I can currently spend on this.
