It took a bit longer, but I think I have something for you to look at
and work on in branch 'wip/2.8.2'.

Since php-symfony-security-acl breaks php-symfony-security (<< 2.8):
In order to build symfony, you need to temporarily remove the build-dep
'php-symfony-security-acl', build once with 'DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=nocheck'
and provide the following resulting packages for your local build env:
- php-symfony-security
- php-symfony-security-core
- php-symfony-security-csrf
- php-symfony-security-guard
- php-symfony-security-http
- symfony-common

Please pay special attention to symfony-common, which is part of
eliminating the Workaround-OR-ed-versions-are-not-supported.patch -
especially since I'm not entirely sure, if this really complies with
Debian standards. Please let me know if you have doubts with it.

I have two task open for the weekend regarding Symfony:
- Write some helper do deal with the autoload.php.tpl (since this is
very error-prone and time-consuming to maintain)
- Do some test upgrades (e.g. 2.4 to 2.8 and 2.8 to 3.0)

Both can be delayed if you find a blocker within the packaging that
prevents an upload to experimental.
