Hi Pierre,

Thank you for your interest in PHP related packages.

Probably, but I don’t really see the point of backporting something that
can be installed out of the box from Stretch or Sid. Since the dependency
chain only rely on arch:all packages. “apt-get install -t sid composer”
seems to do the trick nicely, providing the relevant sid (or stretch)
source is among /etc/apt/sources.list (and the proper pinning is defined,
see apt_preferences(5)). E.g., I have the following in a Jessie box:

$ cat /etc/apt/preferences.d/unstable
Package: *
Pin: release a=unstable
Pin-Priority: 130

At least six other packages seem to be in the dependency chain, and a lot
more in the build-dependency chain (symfony is involved). I won’t go in
the way of anyone willing to do the work, but backporting is a commitment
that goes beyond a one time upload, and I would hate to see previous
ownCloud backporting mess happening again.

Regards

David
