The man page is currently autogenerated from the tor-monitor help output (using help2man) plus some additional text included during the help2man run. If you want to include and maintain them upstream, I would be happy to provide the input files and a small script to automate the help2man run with the necessary parameters. Then I can simply package the manpage you provide in your repo. If that’s OK with you I can just let you know where to pull these changes from.
