While testing this today, I noticed that pulseaudio increases the sink number
each time the sound card is disconnected and reconnected. The sink number
reported by "pactl list sink-inputs" is always the same as the one reported by
"pactl list sinks", but I do still not hear sound.
This inconsistency was obviously caused by me, because I ran "pactl list
sinks" on a freshly booted system and "pactl list sink-inputs" after
reconnecting the sound card. Sorry for this. The attachment contains the
output of "pactl list sink-inputs" directly after reboot.
