Could you please edit ~/.pulse/daemon.conf and set the following:

log-target = file:/home/youruser/pulse.log
log-level = debug
log-time = yes


Then restart pulseaudio (pulseaudio -k ; pulseaudio --start), and try
to reproduce the problem.

Then attach the log here so we can see what is happening.
