Bug#833011: pulseaudio: /usr/bin/start-pulseaudio-x11 should ship with pulseaudio-module-x11
Nicolas LE CAM
niko.lecam at gmail.com
Sat Jul 30 20:54:05 UTC 2016
Package: pulseaudio
Version: 9.0-1.1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
/usr/bin/start-pulseaudio-x11, called by /etc/xdg/autostart/pulseaudio.desktop every time a user log in a DE, tries to load several module-x11-* modules.
Those modules are shipped by pulseaudio-module-x11 package which is only recommended by (instead of by a dependances of) pulseaudio.
IMHO they should ship with the modules they try to load (i.e. in pulseaudio-module-x11 package).
This should also fix following error logs :
juil. 27 07:36:13 rio pulseaudio[2856]: [pulseaudio] ltdl-bind-now.c: Failed to open module module-x11-publish.so: module-x11-publish.so: Ne peut ouvrir le fichier d'objet partagé: Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce
juil. 27 07:36:13 rio pulseaudio[2856]: [pulseaudio] module.c: Failed to open module "module-x11-publish".
juil. 27 07:36:13 rio pulseaudio.desktop[2937]: Échec : Échec lors de l'initialisation du module
regards,
Nicolas
