Bug#854219: pulseaudio: Background service could not be initialized
Helge Kreutzmann
debian at helgefjell.de
Sun Feb 5 08:19:48 UTC 2017
Package: pulseaudio
Version: 10.0-1
Severity: minor
I never noticed pulseaudio explicitly on my system, especially I did
not configure anything.
Since updating to 10.0-1 I see the following (new) error messages in
my logs:
[pulseaudio] main.c: Hintergrunddienst konnte nicht initialisiert werden.
[pulseaudio] main.c: Start des Hintergrunddienstes fehlgeschlagen.
A rough english translation would be:
[pulseaudio] main.c: Background service could not be initialized
[pulseaudio] main.c: Start of the background service failed.
All audio output so far seem to be fine, however, so this message is
harmless?
