Right - that's a technical point and we can adapt our workflow. The fact th=
Debian (and upstream) uses git is definitely *not* a blocker for collaborat=
from an Ubuntu perspective.

I agree and I share the same goal. Differences are usually introduced becau=
of the phases of the release cycles Ubuntu and Debian are in.
One goal is that at the beginning of each Ubuntu cycle Ubuntu should be abl=
simply sync  the package from Debian.
