My sources say yes this would be helpful.  It's still an explicit sync 
to experimental request, but it's a lot better than asking to bypass 
Debian--which in the past has been ... fairly major, and requires strong 
argument.  From what I can tell asking around, it's a similar situation now.

Not trying to break things for Debian though.
