Minified Javascript is more than just un-pretty-printing. You can't run 
some JavaScript equivalent of "indent" on minified JavaScript and get 
back reasonable-to-edit source code. For example, minification changes 
variable names to single characters.

That said, what exactly is preventing shipping a jquery2.1 package in 
Debian?
