The point is that the package is team maintained but none of the
maintainers have time to do anything. The package could be orphaned but
for a team-maintained package, that's odd. I am adding the tag "help"
here.

Whoever has some upgrade plan, even one where the users have to do
manual steps to migrate its changes, _and_ is willing to join the team
can do that. There was some hints here:

I know you have already a lot on your plate but even if you can join the
team for a short time, this would help.
