Roundcube 1.4 officially doesn't support PHP8.0, see upstream issue
https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/issues/7625 .
1.4.9+dfsg.1-1 spits quite a few warning about undefined variable and
array keys:
Undefined array key "env" in /usr/share/roundcube/index.php on line 43
Undefined variable $rcmail_config in /usr/share/roundcube/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_config.php on line 323
Undefined array key 2 in /usr/share/roundcube/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_charset.php on line 223
Undefined array key "UTF-8" in /usr/share/roundcube/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_charset.php on line 340
Undefined array key "UTF7-IMAP" in /usr/share/roundcube/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_charset.php on line 341
It also yields intermittent “Server errors” popups on the UI; it's still
unclear how fatal all of this is, but since it's not just server-side
cosmetics issues I'm adding a block on #976811. FWIW upstream writes:
“Considering our coding style it will be a lot of work. PHP8 for example
throws a warning on undefined array key use.”
