[Pkg-rust-maintainers] Cargo support for packaging a subset of crates.io

Hi!

I think you might be interested in [this issue](
https://github.com/rust-lang/cargo/issues/5332), which talks about adding
some support to Cargo for building a set of unrelated packages together, so
that dependencies are shared. This I *think* is a use-case you have in
Debian. Curios what do you think about it, feel free to comment on the
issue!
