Hi Emmanuel,
Thanks for reviewing rust-lamexfat.
I can't add myself to the Files: * stanza because I'm not a copyright
holder of that code. Lamco Development LLC is the sole holder. That's
what the upstream LICENSE-MIT and LICENSE-APACHE say, and it's how the
archive already records the other Lamco crates. rust-lamxfs was accepted
the same day with the same Files: * stanza. It's the normal arrangement
for code a company owns; Debian's openh264 package credits its code to
Cisco Systems the same way.
My name is in the Cargo.toml authors field, and debcargo copies that
into copyright.debcargo.hint. That field records who wrote the code. It
isn't a copyright claim, so listing me as a holder would make
debian/copyright disagree with upstream.
Your licensecheck output did catch a real mistake of mine. src/vbr.rs is
adapted from exfat-slim just like dir.rs, fat.rs, and upcase.rs, so it's
Apache-2.0 only. I'd left it out of that stanza. The corrected file adds
it, uses Expat in place of MIT per the cme warning, and adds a Comment
under Files: * that explains the holder and the authors field. It'll be
in the re-upload.
Thanks,
Greg
