This is great news, as we pushed quite a bit in order to have alpha2 in sync
with 3.6. Big thanks to Björn for patching the last missing pieces in
rustllvm.

I'm however a bit fearful, as when asked upstream doesn't seem to have a
single vision on this[0], and compatibility plans looked a bit unreal.

Plus, patches against LLVM are again starting piling up (currently 2, both
rust-specific). Maybe we should note them down on a wiki page and periodically
recheck them, to avoid suddenly ending in a major screwed due to some
important patches missing on our LLVM.

This is good and I saw your (still open) PR.
However, I'd like to stick to a policy common to other packaging teams:
don't carry any patches generated on our own (expect when debian-specific),
but only backport them once committed upstream.
This is because I'd like to avoid constantly rebasing patches, and for code
stuff avoid big screw-ups á-la openssl.

Cheers, Luca
