Aside from 3.2.0 not being released yet, the other issue with switching to
3.2 for release was the license change - I believe that we still have a
license conflict with KDE and would need to provide a license-compatible
libsmbclient build from samba 3.0 still?

I'm happy enough to work on this, but I'm not sure how much time I'll really
have for it; and while there's been discussion upstream about a revamped
libsmbclient with a changed ABI, I'm not sure that's something that's
landing for 3.2.0, which makes packaging the two libraries in parallel
tricky.
